CONTEMPORARY HERO..

this particular piece was a collaboration commissioned piece..

my client could not render visually what he had in mind so after a few weeks of brainstorming we were successful at getting his idea on canvas..

during and even after making this piece i had a hard time getting what my collaborator was getting at but after some thought i got it!

(this piece represents a well liked figure who can gain the approval of a large amount of people..he is trustworthy and can do no wrong..(notice the halos)

viewing the work from left to right...

u see the man giving a speech..he says

"uso i partiti come i taxi"

which means "i use you like i use a taxi.."

(he gets in..gets what he needs..gets where he needs to go ...and gets out..)

as you move left the center figure is a flicker of his true personality..

he is a brooding.. conspiring character who has some dastardly schemes up his sleeve..

it is now obvious that this mans agenda is not in the best interest of his followers..

he continues with his speech..

which is a quote from yeats THE SECOND COMING...

NEW YORK CITY!

so i go to the NYC to sell my work...

im usually in soho..

there are people visiting from all over the planet..

so far ive sold aver 250 pieces worldwide....

a majority from germany...i have to go soon!!

being out there i see many things... good ...bad ...and ugly!

this one time this crazy old lady protested the location of my work near the building she lived in(3rd floor condo)...she would come and harass me saying she would call the cops if i didnt move....and that someone would trip and fall(the work was on the wall how many people do U see walking on walls...if u do send it my way ill definitely post it) anyways...(it was a magic spot i was selling like 4 paintings a day!..moving was not an option..)

this one time i even asked her out on a date! ha!.....

unfortunately she was not swayed by my charm...

one day last august she had the bright idea to pour hot water out of her third story window!! targeting me!

god forbid theres some family walking with child in stroller er sumthin....

with my spider like reflexes i heard the water coming and moved outta the way...

she did this a few times...pedestrians were horrified!!

then one fateful weekend she decided that hot water was just not enough.....(she was a sculptor) so she mixed some of her red clay with some hot ass water...then proceeded to dump that outta the third story window! it missed me the first time

but the second attempt did not get me but.......2000$ of my work!! i was not sure what emotion i should feel...so i called the cops...

they told me that if they knock on her door and she doesnt answer....they cant do anything...

but she was soo ready to justify her actions she opened the door...

and i had that old biiiaaatttchhhh arrested...

she though she would just get into the police car bag in hand like some martha stewart sheit...

hehe they took her back and put her hands behind back..

the clicking noise of the handcuffs was music to my ears...

i felt a lil bad tho cause she was old and it was sunday ... theres no processing on sunday er sumthin..

well..that was that...that work is in evidence...im still there.... still not sure to sue ..whaddya think... oh ...heres the photos of the scene!!

a lil statement: for the work you will see.....

the majority of my work consists of illustration photography and digital media many are giclees on canvas coated with a acryllic gel medium for protection as well as texture .......my inspiration comes from many aspects of life observation of people and cultures, pet peeves, passions, dreams, experiences ect.....the material just never stops.......in my work i enjoy implying the essence of my subject then definining it with illustrations(lines)......i feel that the essence of everything is a bit more malleable than the lines that define our physical existence.....lines represent our universal definition of reality by our subconsious and now instinctual understanding of mathematics.......this i believe confines our perception. ....my work stresses that there is much more potential in life than we percieve......
